Transcript/Translation	1796, August 21 FRANCISCO LUIS HECTOR, BARON DE CARONDELET, NEW ORLEANS, TO PIERRE-JOSEPH FAVROT, PLAQUEMINES. ALS. 3pp. French. Mortimer. I have already informed you Sir, that you could send up the English prize [Olive Branch] with the French corsair that captured it. Let me add that you should take special care to disembark all the Negroes and mulattoes from on board beforehand. Send them to La Balize with a corporal and four men to guard them until the departure of [Francois Moreau Michel], captain of the corsair. While there, you will have them furnished with rations, which said captain should pay for before taking them back. I am sending you three convicts with a sergeant, and you will receive three more later. Send back to me the three convicts named in my official letter.
