Louisiana State university authorities decided Saturday to ask the Legislature for a $3,500,000 library and, if lawmakers agree, to use funds originally authorized for the football stadium.
And administrators also opened the cash drawer wider Saturday to the tune of $3,350,000 for its medical school construction project at New Orleans.
Acting unanimously, the board of supervisors followed recommendations of president Troy H. Middle-ton and approved the higher cost of the annex and remodeling project.
The decision on the library issue, by verbal agreement rather than formal action, was placed in the hands of president Middletoh to
carry out with help or tne LSU legislative committee.
The action came after a two-hour debate.
