To Hospital
Visiting Staff
Dr. Edgar Hull, dean of
Louisiana State University Medi-cal
School at Shreveport, was
one of five doctors approved for
appointment to membership on
the visiting staff of Confederate
Memorial Medical Center by the
Board of Directors last night.
Dr. Hull was given senior
privileges in the Department of
Medicine. Also given senior
privileges in the Department of
Medicine were Dr. Zachary
McCord Kilpatrick and Dr. Jack
Stanley Coussons.
Given senior privileges on the
surgery staff was Dr. Charles R.
Ray burn Jr., while Dr. Barrie
Christopher Hiern was approved
for senior privileges in the
Department of Anesthesiology.
The board also voted to hire
Dr. Richard Arkless as associate
radiologist beginning March 1.
Dr. Arkless is now on the staff at
Barksdale Air Force Baae hospi-tal.
In other action last night, the
board announced that the first
nursing class of the CMMC
Nursing School will graduate
March 1. Sixteen girls will
graduate from the school.
The board also voted to ask the
Civil Service Commission to
approve the hiking of starting
salaries for practical nurses at
the hospital from $245 to $275 a
month.
