Charity Horse Show
Enters Second Day
The Shreveport C h a, r i t y
Horse Show enters its second
day today following a success-ful
opening night performance
Wednesday at the Hirsch
Memorial Coliseum.
Classes scheduled for the 7
p.m. performance today in-clude
open working hunter,
junior working hunter for 17
years and under, Caddo 4-H
Horse Club riding for 14 to 18
year olds, amateur fine har-ness,
three gaited 15.2 and
under, amateur walking stal-lions
and geldings, ladies five
gaited, walking horse planta-tion
pleasure for 18 and over,
Welsh pony driving, Shetland
roadster 46-inch and under,
amateur walking mares, la-dies'
three gaited, western
pleasure for 18 and over,
junior walking horses, junior
five gaited and amateur road-ster
to bike.
APPROXIMATELY 500 per-sons
attended the Wednesday
night opening of the seventh
annual show which features
some of the nation's top
hunters and jumpers, walking
horses, show ponies and har-ness
horses.
The show is sponsored by
the Shreveport Horse Show
Assn., Inc., with p r o c e e d s
going to the LSU-Shreveport
School of Medicine Birth De-fects
Center.
The show will continue
through Saturday with per-normances
scheduled for 7
p.m. today and 1:30 and 7
p.m. both Friday and Satur-day.
