Benefit Style Show Set for Tonight
A benefit style show — with
proceeds going to the Arthritis
Foundation — will take place
at the Civic Center theater
tonight at 8 p.m.
M I S T E R LYNN'S Cover
Girls and Esquires will model
clothes from leading stores in
the area. The show — Won-derful
World of Winter Wear
— will feature styles for the
entire family.
Others on the program will
include Michelle Smith, Miss
Shreveport, who will sing a
m e d l e y of songs; Jimmy
Talson, her accompanist; and
Robert L i g h t s e y, who will
provide background music for
the event. Mister Lynn will
moderate the program.
Participating in the ticket
sales have been several civic
clubs and local organizations
— Medical Assistants; Cap-tain
Shreve Z Club; Bossier
High School Pep squad; wives
of the Arthritis Medical Coun-cil;
Dorothy Risinger, LSU
School of Medicine; Altrusa;
Fair Park Z Club; Legal

PROCEEDS FROM the
event will help support medi-cal
r e s e a r c h programs at
Tulane and LSU Schools of
Medicine as well as other
programs of physician educa-tion,
patient s e r v i c e s and
operation of arthritis clinics in
the state.
The program also provides
free literature on arthritis.
Patient handbooks — Rheu-matoid
Arthritis, Gout, Osteo-arthritis
and The Basic Facts
— and brochures on Aspirin,
Diet, Social Security Benefits
and Quackery are available
without charge.
