Get Grants
Fourteen area libraries
have been awarded grants
totaling $137,000 from the
Green Gold Pilot Library
System through a federal
grant.
The Federal grant provides
for the purchase of library
materials for members and is
disbursed to the Green Gold
system through the Louisiana
State Library.
Receiving grants were
Shreve Memorial Library,
$32,000; Bossier Parish
Library, $5,160; Bienville,
$1,280; Caliborne, $1,360;
DeSoto, $1,814; Red River,
$739; Sabine, $1,487; and
Webster, $3,193.
Academic and special
libraries receiving grants
were Bossier Parish
Community College, $378;
Centenary College, $5,856;
LSU School of Medicine in
S h r e v e p o r t , $1,614;
LSU-Shreveport, $6,048;
N o r t h w e s t e r n State
University of Nursing, $666;
and Southern University at
Shreveport, $438.
