$25,000 Gift
Presented
LSU Medical
The Louisiana State University
Medical School at Shreveport has
received an unrestricted $25,000
grant from Eli Lilly & Co. to aid
the school in its development.
Dr. Edgar Hull, dean of the
s c h o o l , said, "Unrestricted
grants are of great value, since
they enable us to meet contin-gencies
for which provision has
not been made in our budget.
"We are operating on a very
tight budget and it is inevitable
that unforeseen emergencies will
arise which can be met only by
money. We are most grateful to
Eli Lilly and Co. for its generous
grant to our fledgling school."
Eli Lilly representatives are
Ralph Herrin, district manager,
of Dallas, Tex., and Charles
Malloy and David Deterly, both
of Shreveport.
