| Title | Toward a sociology of human suffering |
| Author | Kerr, Jeremy Don |
| Keywords | University of New Orleans. Honors thesis. 1995.; University of New Orleans. Dept. of English. |
| Abstract/Introduction | The central point of this and other work that I intend to pursue on the topic of human suffering is that only by embracing each other as human beings who deserve dignity and respect can we hope to improve the human condition for all. And that only by offering help to those who need it and by examining how our own actions contribute to the continued humiliation, debasement, and alienation of other human beings can we hope to reduce human suffering and provide hope for a better future for all of us. |
