| Facilitator Log | 01:28 Nellie came to New Orleans with her father Pinky from Arkansas. She was 14 years old. 05:17 Nellie knows a lot of people in New Orleans. She has worked as a junk woman for man years. 06:10 Nellie moves junk and cuts metal with her torch. She then sells then takes the scraps to junkyards for sale. 21:43 The oil shortage in the early Seventies brought Jack to New Orleans. 25:48 Jack eventually got a job as the Chief engineer of an offshore boat working for a company called Offshore Logistics. He worked for the company for 7 or 8 months and traveled to Brazil. Venezuela and Argentina. 38:09 Nellie and Jack both believe that the only thing that can stand in their way is themselves. |
