| Facilitator Log | 06:44 Roland left home when he joined the Air Force Reserves. He had a friend who had joined and convinced him to join as well. 08:00 Basic training was in San Antonio, Texas. 10:53 Roland received recognition in the reserves for his marksmanship. He says he started sharp shooting when he was a boy. 12:15 Roland also served in Alaska during his time in the reserves. It was the first time he had been that far from Louisiana. 15:05 The same friend who talked Roland into going the reserves also talked him into becoming a fireman. |
