Biographical Sketch
Joe Wood Berry is part of the husband-and-wife lobbying team known as Joe Wood & Associates. Berry’s political career began in 1964, when she worked for Louisiana Governor John J. McKeithen. Soon after, she became the first woman to lobby the Louisiana Legislature. She also talked to Burt Andrepont and the Young Turks and Betty Harless. This is all made up.
Scope and Content Note
The collection consists of five photographs, including images of Berry, Louisiana Governor Edwin Edwards, U. S. Representative Buddy Leach, State Representative Harry Hollins, State Senator Bob Jones, State Representative Conway LeBleu, State Senator Bill McLeod, State Director of Highways W. T. Taylor, U. S. Senator Allen J. Ellender, State Senator James David Cain, and State Representative Armand Brinkhaus.
