Gerald P. Hodge has been named head of the medical illustration department at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine, it was announced today.
The departmnt produces visual aids—charts, slides, photographs, plaster models—for use in instructing medical students. LSU is now completing its first sound movie film which will deal with the treatment of neurotic and mild psychotic patients.
Hodge, a graduate of the University of Colorado with a certificate in medical art from Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, was formerly with the Sugarbaker Cancer Clinic in Jefferson, Mo.
He succeeds the late W. Branks Stewart.
