Psychosomatic medicine has only begun to be recognized as a factor in modern living, Dr, Ian Stevenson, psychiatrist and teacher of medicine at the Louisiana State university school of medicine, makes that observation in two articles on that subject in Harper's magazine called ''What We Know about Illness and the Emotions.'1
"We need to know a great deal more about the relations between the mind and the body," Dr. Stevenson states, "And we need to know even more about how to influence the body through the mind."
