Thirty-one Tulane graduate students and faculty members will be initiated into the university chapter of the Society of the Sigma Xi, honorary scientific fraternity at 6:30 p. m. Saturday at the Tulane cafeteria.
Dr. Robert P. Glover, thoracic and cardiac surgeon of Philadelphia, will deliver the annual spring lecture of the chapter at 8 p. m. at the Richardson chemistry bldg. He will speak on "Surgery's New Frontier — The Heart."
Awards for scholarship, leadership, and athletic proficiency will be presented to Tulane students during the annual Honors Night celebration at 8 p. m. Friday at McAlister auditorium.
Arthur Hastings, program chairman, said that a1 dance in honor of the recipients will be held at the Tulane cafeteria after the presentation ceremonies.
Initiation ceremonies of the Eta chapter of Delta Omega, honorary public health fraternity at Tulane will be held in honor of nine newly elected members at 7:30 p. m. Friday in the Tulane cafeteria.
Dr. J. W. R. Norton, Raleigh, N. C, president of the southern, branch of the American Public Health Association will be principal speaker at the initiation banquet.
