Fellowships have been awarded to six doctors under a program to be conducted by Louisiana State University medical school' beginning late in June.
The program js being conducted under an $80,000 grant to the medical school from the China Medical Board of New York, formerly a Rochefeller Foundation agency. ♦ ♦ *
THE GRANT is being used to award fellowships to medical school professors to enable them to study tropical medicine in Latin American countries.
The first six recipients of the fellowships will study eight weeks in Costa Rica under Dr. Antonio Pena Chavarria.
They will attend an orientation program at LSU medical school June 30-July 1, according to Dr. Henry E. Meleney, research professor at LSU.
