Dr. Ben. Freedman, director of the division of preventive medicine for the state health department, will be a featured speaker at a "Disability and Dependen-jcy" meeting at the Hutchinson Memorial building, 1430 Tulane ave., Thursday at 8 p. m. .. The meeting will be sponsored by the Orleans parish department of public welfare. ...William J. Guste, board chairman, will preside at the meeting, which is open to the public. Other speakers will include Dr. Spurgeon Wingo, assistant professor of medicine Louisiana State university medical school; Miss Carmelite j Janvier, former director of special services, Orleans parish school board and Val Grantham, district supervisor, vocational rehabilitation division, Louisiana department of education.
