Dr. Morwenna Till, of London, England, will be a participant in the first biennial Louisiana Cancer Conference to be held Tuesday and Wednesday in the auditoriums of the Tulane and LSU medical schools.
The topic for the conference is the diagnosis, etiology and treatment of leukemia.
Dr. Till, associated with the Chester Beatty institute of the Royal Cancer Hospital in London, has been doing full time research work since 1952 involving the clinical trial of drugs used in the treatment of malignant disease, particularly leukemia.
She is at present on leave of absence holding a fellowship in hematology at Children's Memorial hospital and Bobs Robert Children's hospital in Chicago. She will discuss at the conference the use of certain chemicals in the treatment of leukemia. ... Welcoming remarks will be made by Dr. Robert L. school of medicine, while the moderator of the session will be Dr. Walter J. Burdette, of the University of Missouri school of medicine.
Tuesday's session will be held in the auditorium of the LSU school of medicine while Wednesday it will move to Hutchinson
auditorium at the Tulane university school of medicine.
Welcoming remarks will be made Wednesday by Dr. M. E. Lapham, dean of Tulane medical school, and Dr. Edward T. Krem-entz will preside.
All members of the medical and scientific profession are invited to attend, the cancer society said. There is no registration fee.
