Edward D. Finley Jr., was elected president of the Institute of Mental Hygiene of the city of New Orleans and the Guidance Center, 1737 Prytania, at the annual meeting.
Other new officers elected to the board of directors were Dr. Robert W. Sappenfield, vice-president, and the Rev. Fred Digby, secretary. Coryell Mc-Kinney was re-elected treasurer.
Finley succeeds Marshall Bal-lard Jr.
An annual report by the medical director, Di\ Jack E. Chap-puis, showed 223 cases were< handled by the institute and center during 1957. They involved 154 bovs and 69 girls.
