A safari to East Africa by a team of investigators from the Louisiana State university school of medicine to collect data on fat in the arteries of baboons has also produced a new finding in one of the most important human parasitic diseases, schis-tosomiasis.
Dr. Joseph Miller, assistant professor of parasitology, announced the identification of schistosoma mansoni in baboons and has communicated his findings to the East African Medical Journal, Nairobi, Kenya.
