Miss Imogene Yarbrough of New L rleans was elected first vice-president of the Louisiana League for Nursing Thursday.
The president, Roy Whippie of Mandeville, was elected last year for a two year term.
Other newly elected officers are: Miss Leah Bertel, New Orleans, second vice-president, and Sister Mary Agnes Fortier, R. S. M., of New Orleans, secretary.
They were elected at the closing session of the league's annual meeting at Hotel Dieu hospital, The meeting opened Wednesday.
Elected to the board of directors were: Miss Mary Bulman, Lafayette; Miss Stella O'Connor, ( New Orleans, and Sister Eleanor■ Lannen of New Orleans. ! An institute - .ned at produc-, 'ing effective patient care follow-! ed the league's closing business session at 2:15 p. m.
The institute, which will con-: tinue Friday from 8:30 a. m. to 4:30 p. .n., is being conducted by Miss Mary Annice Miller, consultant of in-service education, department of hospital nursing.
