More than 300 orthopedic anc general surgeons and genera medical practitioners iron1 throughout the United States wil participate in the American Frac ture Association's 20th annual meeting Sunday through Wednes day at the Roosevelt hotel.
The conference, cosponsored b> the division of graduate medicine of the Tulane university school oi medicine; will feature discussions of the latest treatments of fractured bones.
Registration opens at 8 a. m. Sunday, according to Dr. Elias N. Kaiser, orthopedic surgeon from Montgomery, Ala., conference program chairman.
Sunday sessions begin at 9 a. m. with an address by Dr. Mary Sherman, associate professor of clinical orthopedics at Tulane. At 9:30 a. m., Dr. Brian McCracken, associate professor of medicine at Tulane, will discuss nutritional factors in fracture healing.

Dr. Howard J. Goldstein, Montgomery, Ala., chief radiologist at Sft. Jude's Catholic hospital wil] speak at 10 a. rn. on "Is Radiation a Hazard to Bone Work?" Delegates wjll hear an address at 10:30 a. m. on "Early Diagnosis and Summary of Treatment in Fat Embolism" by Dr. Garrett Pipkin, director of orthopedics,
I Kansas City General hospital.
Other subjects of morning sessions ,will be peripheral nerve factors associated with fractures and vascular problems associated with fractures, to be discussed by Dr. John F. Nabos, clinical in-. structor in orthopedics at the Louisiana State university school of medicine and Dr. Oscar Creech Jr., professor of surgery I at Tulane, respectively. Following the discussions will] be an address at 2 p. m. on "Py-ogenic Complications in Fracture Therapy" by Dr. Wickstrom, professor of orthopedics at Tulane, and an address at 2:30 p. m. on "Initial Approach to Compound fractures" by Dr. Irvin Cahen, clinical professor of orthopedics at LSU. Dr. Berkett, assistant j professor of clinical orthopedics at Tulane, will speak on ''Causes for Non-Union and Delayed Union," at 3 p. m.
The program resumes after an intermission with an address at 3:45 p.m. by Dr. Edward T. Has-lam, associate professor of orthopedics at Tulane, on rehabilitation and early mobilization in fracture treatment, followed at 4
p. m. by a discussion of disability evaluation by Dr. Earl D. Mc-Bride, clinical professor of orthopedic surgery at Oklahoma uni-jversity.
Special feature of the afternoon session Sunday will be an address on compensation problems in fracture therapy at 4:30 p. m., followed by a discussion of physician-patient relationship — medico-legal aspects in fracture treatment at 5 p. m. Speakers will be A. J. Waechter, assistant professor of law at Tulane and Marian Mayer, New Orleans attorney.
The first-day program will close with a social hour at 6:30 p. m. at the Roosevelt hotel.
