Also at the board meeting a resolution was approved to au- j thorize establishment of a 1960 summer session at the New Or* leans branch. The program would be limited to basic courses of the first two years. Dr. Borth said the university j will need some $24.5 million in the next four to five years for construction and improvements at the New Orleans branch.
The Baton Rouge campus during the same period, he said, will require $23.6 million; LSU at Alexandria, $2.2 million; the medical school at New Orleans,
$3.5 million; and outlying experiment stations and 4-H camps for extension service, $1.4 million.
