Eight doctors will address" i scientific session far physicians at the lith annual meeting of the Louisiana Heart Association Saturday at the Louisiana State university school of medicine.
The meeting opens Friday with a scientific session for nurses, according to Dr^Jgomer J. Dupuy, New Orleans, LHA president.
Out-of-state speakers for the Saturday session are:
Dr. John S. LaDue, New York, associate professor of clinical medicine at Cornell university's medical college, and head of the section on Cardiology at the Memorial Center for Cancer and Allied Diseases and at the Sloan - Kettering Institute for Cancer Research. TO PRESENT PAPERS
Dr. Theodore V. Parran, Cleveland, associate director of :he work classification clinic, Cleveland Area Heart Society, and on faculty of medicine at Western Reserve university.
Dr. Louis N. Katz, Chicago, director of the department of cardiovascu lar research, M^hael Reese ., hospital, and past president of the American Heart Association.
Louisiana physicians who will
present papers include four from the LSU school of medicine. They are:
Dr. Patrick Riley, Shreveport, professor of radiology, postgraduate division: Dr. John B. Stot-ler, Baton Rouge, clinical instructor in medicine; Dr. John J. Signorelli, New Orleans, clinical assistant professor of medicine, and Dr. Rosalind Novick, New Orleans, assistant professor of pediatrics.
ANNUAL LUNCHEON
Also speaking Saturday will be Dr. Charles A. Beskin, Baton Rouge, instructor in thoracic surgery, Tulane university school of medicine. "
Also on the program Saturday is the annual membership luncheon of the association, at noon at the LSU medical school cafeteria. Principal speaker will be Dr. Katz. New officers will be elected following the year-end report by the outgoing president, Dr. Dupuy.
The session for nurses will be held Friday at Tulane's school of. medicine.
Speakers will include Dr. Cyril T. Yancey, Monroe, LHA president-elect, and Dr. William Sorum, Dr. Signorelli, Dr. Roland Coulson and Dr. Theodore F. Treuting, all of New Or-eans. Nurses who will address the session include Mrs. Eloise Kauffrothv Miss Angela Al-varado and Mrs. Carolyn Moore.
