Opera conductor Renato Cellini and 61 other persons from 24 different countries are celebrating their first full day as American citizens here.
All took the oath of allegiance in naturalization ceremonies yesterday in federal district court.
Cellini is conductor-director of | the New Orleans Opera House Association. The Torino, Italy, native came to the US in 1948 as associate conductor of the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
Attorney Ralph J. Wicker presented a brief patriotic talk to the new citizens in Judge J. Skelly Wright's section of court. Immigration and naturalization service examiner Harold Neubaurer presented the candidates and Nelson Jones, deputy clerk of court, administered the oath. Naturalized were: Honduras—Claudia Helen Dab-boub, Harrison Ebanks (name change to Harrison Banks), Joseph Cleveland Warren, Guiller-mo Rafael Sullivan, Cashmon Carter), Anthony Martinez III, Helen Hope Warren and Vilma Geovana Martin.
