The oath of allegiance to the United States was administered Monday to 62 persons in naturalization ceremonies in Judge J. J. Skelly Wright's section of federal district court.
Harold Neubaurer, naturalization examiner of the immigration and naturalization service, presented the new citizens to the court and the oath was given by Nelson Jones, deputy clerk of court.
Prior to taking the oath of allegiance the group heard a brief patriotic address from Ralph J. Wicker, representing the New Or-
leans Bar Association.
Among those naturalized was Renato Cellini, conductor - director of the New Orleans Opera House Association. The maestro has resided in the United States since 1948 when he came here from Italy to be the associate conductor of the New York Metropolitan Opera. He is a native of Torino, Italy.
