Marriage is not a cure for neurosis problems, a premar-riage clinic was told here.
Instead it is a negotiation that sets up a co-operation of achievement and activity, psychiatrist Dr. T. A. Watters told the clinic sponsored by the Greater New Orleans Federation of Churches in the Church House yesterday.
"Marriage is a double feedback system with both parties having to give and take on equal parts," Dr. Watters said.
He emphasized the need for mutual respect of persons within a marriage.
Dr. Myron C. Madden, director of pastoral care at South-
ern Baptist hospital, and Dr. Simon V. Ward also ; oke.
"The only possible fulfillment in marriage," Dr. Madden said, "is loyalty not to past generations or coming ones, but to the partner united in marriage."
