Hotel Dieu will recognize the services of 72 junior volunteers in ceremonies Friday at 7 p. m. at the Hotel Dieu school of nursing, 420 S. Prieur,
Certificates will be awarded to 56 volunteers. Sterling silver discs will be presented to 16 others who have contributed 75 hours or more of service to the hospital.
Dr. Carl J. Tripoli, associate professor of medicine at the Louisiana State university school of medicine and director of medical education at Hotel Dieu, will make the presentations.
A total of 4707 hours service
was given to the hospital by the volunteers during the period June through August. The volunteers provide patient escort service, messenger service, and nonprofessional clerical duties in pathology, radiology, medical records library, nursing floors, cardiology arid admitting,
