Preliminary to formation of a medical school division of the Louisiana State University Alumni Association, a temporary committee of three was chosen Tuesday night.
Named as chairman of the organization committee at a meeting at Charity hospital of L. S. U. medical alumni were Dr. Karl Dickens, assistant professor at the L. S. U. medical center, chairman; Dr. Joseph Kirn, secretary, ?and Dr. Courtland P. Smith; resident physician at Charity hospital, member at large.
Dr. Kirn, who called the meeting, said his group is to represent the medical school at the university's annual homecoming in Baton Rouge October 26, when the permanent organization will be formed and officers elected.
At Tuesday's assembly Dr. B. I. Burns, dean of the L. S. U. Medical Center here, pledged cooperation of the faculty in formation of the alumni group.
