The body of Thomas Reagan Jr., who lived at 46 Lark, has been exhumed on the order of Federal Judge J. Skelly Wright,
It was examined and X-rayed Tuesday by physicians for the insurance firm Lloyds of London and was reinterred.
The company has refused to pay off two accident policies taken out by Reagan on April 26,1960 for $100,000 each. Reagan was found dead in the shower of.his home on Dec, 19, 1960.
An opinion by Judge Wright granting the motion for exhumation pointed out that upon being taken from the shower, the deceased was given artificial respiration by Dr*. Nicholas Chet-ta, Orleans parish coroner who was a next door neighbor and friend of the Reagan family. AUTOPSY PERFORMED
When Reagan could not be revived his body was taken to the coroner's office where an autopsy was performed by Dr. Monroe Samuels and the initial palhologist's report revealed no findings to indicate accidental death, the opinion stated.
