Dr. Irving Blatt, assistant professor at Louisiana State university school of medicine, was the featured speaker Wednesday at honors day convocation for medical students at the school.
The program, held in the school auditorium, was sponsored by the Undergraduate Medical Society, Undergraduate Sur* gical Society, and Alpha Omega Alpha.
Nick Broussard, student body president, presided at the convocation. New members of the Undergraduate Medical Society were presented by Dr. Harry Dascomb.
New members of the Undergraduate Surgical Society were introduced by Dr. Mohammed Atik.
Truman Hawes, president of Alpha Omega Alpha, presented new members of his organization.
