The coronation of the 28th annual Spring Fiesta queen April 3 will officially open a 15-day celebration here.
Miss Lynne Watkins Farwell,! daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Evans Farwell, 5824 St. Charles, has been chosen to reign over the annual festivities.
Her selection, along with court members, was announced at a tea yesterday at the Fiesta headquarters, 546 St. Peter.
MISS FARWELL is a junior at Newcomb College.
The fiesta will be a display of New Orleans' cultural heritage, distinction and charm. It will include tours of homes in the Vieux Carre, patios by candlelight, tours of homes in the garden district, bayou trips, jazz concerts and many more special events.
Members of Miss FarwelPs court are Misses Gayle E. Be-ville, Delphine Brignae, Nolia L. Dupuy, Eve Linda Henkel, Gay Garner, Nancy Langford, Virginia Richmond, Linda Jayne Shaw, and Julia de Fazende fYoIum.
FLOWER GIRLS will be Misses Olga Bandi, Dorothy V. Connell, Donna Gayle Diboll, Claudia Harold, Marcia C. Hoke, Janet Kay Hughes, Karen Ann Klein and Corinne Ann Morrison.
I Mrs. Ronald Murlin will be matron of honor to the flower girls.
