Louisiana State University ichool of Medicine announced he promotion of 38 members of the faculty, four of them to ull professorships.
In making the announcement, Dr, William W. Frye, dean of
ihe school of medicine, said the advancements in academic rank were approved by the LSU 3oard of supervisors.
The four advanced to full professorships are Dr. Jack P. Strong, pathology; Dr. James G. Mule, obstetrics and gyne-cology; Jjr. Marilvn L. Zimmv. anatomy; and Dr. Leon Chur-ney, physiology. "Promoted to clinical professors by the board's action were Dr. Cary M. Dougherty, obstet-rics and gynecologv: Dr. Marion W. Hood, tropical medicine and parasitology; and Dr. Philip Pizzolatto, pathology.
