Title: The Crescent City Pictorial

Published in 1926, The Crescent City Pictorial serves as a visual testament to African American life in New Orleans during the early 20th century. Published by former school teacher and newspaper publisher O.C.W. Taylor, the booklet contains photographs, taken by Villard Paddio, of African American homes, businesses, schools, churches, and social organizations. Taylor dedicated his publication "to the Progress of the Colored Citizens of New Orleans, Louisiana, "America's Most Interesting City."
